An inspiring second day at the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence , co-organised with 3DOM - 3D Optical Metrology – Fondazione Bruno Kessler - FBK, the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, and Maastricht University .
The day was opened by Prof. Stefano Remo Luigi Campana from the Università di Siena, who delivered a captivating lecture on the use of #geospatial technologies for the protection of cultural and archaeological sites in #conflict zones, highlighting the transformative role of #remotesensing, spatial analysis, and #digital #documentation in #safeguarding our shared #heritage.
Participants then had the opportunity to apply digital technologies directly in the field, process the acquired data, and evaluate the results, bridging theory with #hands-on experience under expert guidance.
